The Easy Way

I love it when God “calls” me to something and everything just seems to fall into place. I find myself thinking that “this” has to be God because no one else could make it all just happen. The problems is that more times than not, life does not work this way. I am secure in the “call”, but nothing seems to go right. It’s almost like the time in Acts 27 when Paul and 275 other men were in a terrible storm for fourteen days. Finally, they see a beach – a place of safety; their hope is restored, this must be God. They head straight for the beach, only to run aground on a reef and the ship is destroyed. God’s way is not always the easy way, but usually involves some frustrations, challenges, and even tests of our faith. After all, what better way can He show Himself to be our Everything than to deliver us from the “reefs” that ground us in life before we reach our destinations? Today let us keep our focus on God’s way instead of the easy way. Blessings
