Good News/Bad News

I’ve got some good news and some bad news. I like to dispense of the bad news first, so here it is. The wages of sin is death, meaning that if we choose sin then we die. To die is to be separated from God for eternity, i.e. there is no heavenly reward for us because we have chosen sin. The really bad part about not spending eternity in heaven is that we will spend eternity in hell. Now that is bad news! Clearly understanding the bad news makes the good news even better. The good news is that God recognizes that we are sinners and He loves us so much that He offers us a free gift. He offers us life through Jesus Christ. He offers to allow the righteousness of His Son to cover our unrighteousness. He offers to allow the pure Blood of Jesus Christ cover the wretched stains of our sins and to make them clean – to make it appear as if our sinful choices had never happened, which means that we can spend eternity with Him in heaven. This is not good news, but great news! All we have to do is to say “Yes.” Will you join me and say YES today? Blessings
