Speaking as one that is “part of the system” of Christianity (I am a Preacher) I sometimes get cross-eyed about what I am supposed to be doing. In my efforts to make sure that I am “living holy” as He is holy, I find myself following a lot of rules. I’m not against rules per se, but I am against worshiping rules instead of worshiping God. That is an easy trap to get caught in when we think of Christianity as a religion. Proverbs 3:3, and others, indicate that God intends for Christianity to instead be a way of life. For us to “write His [way] on the tablets of our hearts” means that we automatically choose His way. We don’t have to think about it. It becomes natural to us. Following Him is just who we are. We are not invited to follow a Christian religion, but to live a Christian life. That is what I am shooting for. Blessings
