Before we get to this week’s episode, I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the capital fundraising campaign for the school dining hall and a missionary vehicle for me to use whenever I get to return to Tanzania. We currently have received $10,061 in online and offline (check) contributions which puts us at 34% or 1/3 of the way to our goal. Thank you to everyone who has contributed. If you would like more information or would like to contribute please visit our fundraising site at https://dining-hall-and-missionary-vehicle.causevox.com/
Concerning my return to Tanzania, I am still waiting on my passport to be renewed by the US Government. I am currently 2 months overdue and counting on this renewal. Yes, I have had my elected officials contact the government organization responsible and they got the same answer I get: In Process. It has gotten so bad that I am now assuming I will not be back in Tanzania to work with a group that wants to visit our school for a couple of days while they finish a project they have in another area of Tanzania. I am still working with them to make arrangements for their visit with local groups but it is so much more difficult when not face to face with folks.
On this episode of Missionary Ramblings, my guests are Karalee Brookie and Julie Sellars. They have each been on double digit trips to Peru with church mission team and have led the last two trips from our church to Tanzania. I apologize for the background noise on this episode, I was using a new piece of equipment when we sat down and it caused the hum in the background. I removed as much as possible but it is still noticeable.
