Tanzania Mountains
There have been moments here in Kiruani when we could clearly see the snow-capped summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. What an awesome sight!! Most of the time the top is hidden by clouds and/or haze. It is simply too high to be viewed. It reminds me of just how big our God is. He created that mountain which means He is larger than it is! God is also larger than any mountains we have to face. The real beauty is that He can always be seen if we just open our eyes to Him. Don’t allow the doubt of this world to be the cloud cover that obscures your view of God.
Tanzania 1
We have completed our first leg of this journey in Africa. We shared the presence of God with the people of Ugweno, and He showed up in a mighty way! I had the privilege of teaching and preaching about the unending love of Jesus Christ. Butch and I have witnessed many outpourings of the power of God. We have seen healings of mind, body, and spirit. People have accepted Jesus as their Savior, been healed from infirmities, and then freed from affliction. We can only imagine what God has in store at our next stop, Kiruani. Please continue to pray for us because we all know that when God has a mighty plan, Satan always tries to interfere. Blessings!
Opportunities
In eleven days Butch Huffman and I will be boarding a plane for a two-week teaching/revival tour of Tanzania. We will be used by the Lord as teachers and “proclaimers” of God’s Word so that others can be led to Him or into a deeper relationship with Him. We will also seek out mission opportunities for future mission teams. It has been brought to our attention that our hosts have a current need for a laptop computer. Although you may not be able to board the plane with us on September 13, you can still participate in this ministry by helping us acquire this computer for Pastor Rogers Mnzavas to be used in his ministry in Tanzania. If you are interested in being a part of this opportunity please contact me through the contact info found on my website (www.b2buministries.org).
Crazy Love
Cindy has been working for days getting our house in order for Irene. She even went so far as beginning to mow our neighbor’s lawn. She got caught in a rain storm and didn’t finish. As it happened the rain stopped and she asked me to finish. I was too busy at the time but promised her I would later. Naturally by the time I got to it the rain was back. I can only imagine what people must have thought when they drove by and saw a crazy guy cutting grass in the pouring rain. I’m sure in the next several days there will be many opportunities to do something “crazy” to help other people. Don’t help grudgingly like I did and get “rained on”. Help willingly, like Cindy did, and walk in the “Sonshine”!
Surprises
Life is always full of surprises. Just as we are all getting our houses in order for the possibility of Hurricane Irene coming this weekend, an earthquake happens; and here on the east coast of all places. That is exactly the way Satan works. He gets us focused on one area and then tries to catch us completely off guard by coming at us in another area. God is ready to carry us through these little “surprises” in life. He promises to be with us through the “hurricanes” or the “earthquakes” of life, even when they come on top of each other.
Immunizations
In preparation for my upcoming Tanzanian Crusade I recently got a Yellow Fever shot. Hopefully this shot will keep me safe from a Yellow Fever attack. As I was waiting to see if my body would accept the immunization I couldn’t help but think how God desires to immunize us. He desires for us to allow His Holy Presence to give us the tools we need to thwart the attack of worldly viruses. How many times do we ignore His Gift of power, love, and of discipline and try to “go it alone”?
Surprises
Yesterday when I got the mail I was surprised when there was a package addressed to me from a book company. I knew I had not ordered a book, so I figured the company sent the book assuming I would pay for it. Imagine my surprise when I found that the book had already been paid for and not with my credit card. An anonymous friend had sent me a gift for no reason. That really made my day! When is the last time you “surprised” someone with the gift of kindness?
Tanzanian Crusade
As you know I am preparing for our upcoming Crusades/Seminars in Tanzania. In addition to the teaching and preaching, Rev. Butch Huffman and I will be investigating the possiblities for future Mission Work Teams. I would be remiss if I didn’t give others an opportunity to be a part of this ministry through your prayers and gifts. In addition to the normal costs associated with overseas ministry, there is also a need for a digital camera and lap top computer to be left in Tanzania with our host, Pastor Rogers. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to further advance the Kingdom of God through B2BU Ministries, Inc. Thank you for considering how you can be used through this ministry.
